Abstract
The coherent-mode representation of partially cohedrent and partially polarized steady- state optical field is defined on the basis of the Wolf’s unified theory of coherence and polarization. An example of the coherent-mode representation of the imaging process in the optical system with partially coherent and partially polarized source, whose cross-spectral density matrix has a diagonal form, is given.
