Novel Vacuum Assisted Microfluidic Technique for Fabrication of Guided Wave Devices

Abstract

A novel vacuum-assisted-microfluidic (VAM) fabrication technique is presented. The method results in lower propagation losses and improved waveguide structures. The technique is employed to develop optical interconnect ribbon couplers and a color filter for OLED.
