Light Reflection Scattering enhancement by surface waves at the surface of a one dimensional photonic crystal

Abstract

One-dimensional photonic crystal supporting a surface electromagnetic wave inside the first band gap, was developed to demonstrate experimentally that the scattering of light is enhanced when the incident light is in resonance with the surface wave.
