Abstract

Third-order nonlinear coefficients are studied in GaAs/AlAs superlattice waveguides between 1505nm and 1625nm. Nonlinear refractive index coefficients (n2) measured for the TE mode are about two- times greater than for the TM mode at shorter wavelengths.
