Polarimetric Imaging of Retinal Arteries and Veins in Diabetic Retinopathy

Abstract

The arteries and veins in retinas of patients with diabetic retinopathy were readily imaged using near infrared light. For larger vessels, Michaelson contrasts were significantly higher for depolarized light images than reflectance images.
