Optical Tweezers: Test of Absolute Calibration

Abstract

A first-principles theory of trapping forces of optical tweezers with no adjustable parameters is experimentally tested. We find generally very good agreement for transverse stiffness, trapping threshold, peak position, sample depth variation and other effects.
