Wavefront sensor-less adaptive optics - Image correction through sharpness maximisation

Abstract

Wavefront-sensorless image correction through sharpness maximisation is presented. An image sharpness metric is shown to relate to low wavefront error as the sharpness is maximised. Various search algorithms are used to determine the conjugate DM shape.
