Evaluation of Aperture Codes for High Throughput Spectroscopy

Abstract

A coded aperture spectrometer maintains the spectral resolution of a traditional slit spectrometer while dramatically increasing the throughput. Here we evaluate the performance of different aperture codes for spectroscopy of weak, incoherent sources.
