Compensation of Birefringence for TEM00 Mode Generation in cw Nd:YAG Lasers

Abstract

The thermally induced birefringence was successfully by placing a quarter-wave plate into a plane parallel Nd:YAG laser resonator of 130 W output power in multi-mode. The optimum operation with TEM00 mode generation without thermal lensing effect was demonstrated and the stability condition was simulated in cw high power Nd:YAG lasers.
