Analysis of Rotational and Translational Movement of a Metallic Nanorod via Electric Fields

Abstract

We derive a method to arbitrarily control the position and orientation of a micrometer sized metallic particle using dielectrophoretic manipulation with an array of electrodes. This technique can be extended for more than one particle.
