Asymmetric Microlens Design with Tilted Elements for Removal of Ghost Images and Stray Light

Abstract

Fabrication of microlens elements by grayscale lithography enables the patterning of non-rotationally symmetric surfaces. Asymmetric surfaces may be used to correct aberrations introduced when lenses are intentionally tilted to remove ghost reflections.
