Abstract

It is possible to obtain a negative or a positive refraction, as a function of the slab-width of a Photonic Crystal. Using this property we realize a very simple, very efficient and wide angle beam-splitter polarizator, where TM polarization is refracted in positive direction whereas TE component is negatively refracted.
