Terabus: A Waveguide-Based Parallel Optical Interconnect

Abstract

Terabus is an optical link for parallel chip-to-chip interconnects operating in the 0.5-1 Tb/s range. It is based on a chip-like optoelectronic packaging structure (optochip) assembled directly onto an organic card with integrated waveguides (optocard).
