Abstract

Generally, the third-order and the second-order optical nonlinearity are greatly correlated with each other [1]. There have been few reports on the third-order nonlinearity of 4-dimethylamino-methyl-4-stilbazolium-tosylate (DAST), while the single crystal of DAST possesses the large second-order nonlinear-optical susceptibility.
