Abstract
Recent papers [1, 2] on the Goos-Hänchen (GH) shift [3] are still in the wake of the original effort to find new situations that allow for the occurrence of the GH shift. Previously found GH shifts are in general the order of the wavelength. Rare effort has been made to find the way of obtaining large GH shifts. Last year, Lai and Chan [4] and Broe and Keller [5] reported large GH shifts for TM beams in different configurations. In this paper, I report a new phenomenon that large and opposite GH shifts may occur simultaneously for TE and TM beams in an unsymmetrical double-prism configuration.
