Direct comb spectroscopy by heterodyne detection with a continuous-wave laser for high spectral resolution

Abstract

A scheme to resolve individual comb modes by heterodyne detection with a continuous-wave laser for direct comb spectroscopy is proposed and demonstrated. This is simple and suitable for application to high-resolution spectroscopy.
