A New Imaging FTS for LWIR Polarization Sensing: Principle and Application

Abstract

We discuss a new imaging FTIR instrument optimized for spectral polarization sensing. Laboratory results demonstrate the capability of the instrument for the remote detection of surface contamination and its potential for probing temporally and spatially fluctuating scenes.
