Characterization and Suppression of Electrical Interference - Spikes, Periodic Waves, and Ripples - From Cassini Composite Infrared Spectrometer (CIRS) Spectra

Abstract

Interferograms from the CIRS far- and mid-IR detectors are contaminated by electrical noise spikes, as well as by a single frequency (“sine wave”) feature. It was therefore necessary to develop algorithms to suppress this interference.
