Thulium-doped Germanosilicate Mode-locked Fiber Lasers

Abstract

We report two mode-locked thulium-doped fiber lasers in different host materials, including a 682-fs, 8.75-nJ, figure-of-eight, doped silica fiber laser and a 900-fs, 34.1-nJ, SESAM mode-locked, linear cavity, doped germanosilicate fiber laser.
