Multifilament core fiber mode content and other properties using S2 characterization

Abstract

the recently developed multifilament core fiber is characterized using the spatially resolved spectral interference to determine the LP11 modes group delay and fiber birefringence. Measurements confirm that bend filtering allows effective single mode propagation.
