Prospects for a Compact Radiation Source Using Dielectric Laser Accelerators

Abstract

We review recent experimental progress in developing nanofabricated dielectric laser-driven accelerators and discuss the possibility of utilizing the unique sub-femtosecond electron pulses these accelerators would provide to create ultra-compact radiation sources.
