Abstract

All National or Regional Centers funded by the National Science Foundation for photonics education and training in the United States have undergone a rigorous attempt to estimate the demand for workers in the regions they serve. We present the procedure for establishing a sample frame, data collection mechanisms, and estimations from analyses that were used in the United States, as well as the results from these analyses.
