Abstract

Precise delay control is crucial for ultrafast optical pump probe experiments. For example to study attosecond electron dynamics, time-delay control down to a few attoseconds is required [1,2]. But also applications with longer time scales like THz-time domain spectroscopy benefit greatly from a high position accuracy [3,4].
