Abstract

We present an experiments of spontaneous oscillatory behavior in binary-solvent plasmonically-absorbing nanofluids, which occurs when collimated light grazes menisci. The robust heat cycles identify nanobubbles, new mechanisms for probing nanoparticle-solvent chemistry, and novel thermo-mechanical dynamics.
