Observation of High-Lying Rydberg States in Strong Field Interaction

Abstract

In general, high-lying Rydberg states of atoms and molecules have very low ionization potentials which may lead to over-barrier ionization in weak electric fields. Recent experiments and theoretical results indicate that such states play an important role in strong field interaction of atoms and molecules [1–3].
