Abstract

The Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin operates the infrared beamline IRIS (acronym for Infrarotinitiative Synchrotronstrahlung) at the electron storage ring BESSY II. The beamline is dedicated to both, the in-house energy materials research and the external users with the access via a peer-review process of their scientific proposals. This paper reports on the current status and performance of the beamline with the experimental stations attached. Latest applications of FTS in particular in the field on energy materials will be presented.
