On the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Distribution along Fiber in the Optical OFDM Transmissions

Abstract

This paper studies the PAPR distribution along fiber in optical OFDM systems and reveals the PAPR enhancement phenomenon due to the fiber nonlinearity, which causes problems in the BER performance and the required dynamic range of the receiver.
