Converged IR-UWB Wireless and Baseband Wired Access Over a WDM-PON

Abstract

A system to generate and distribute 1.25-Gb/s UWB signals together with 1.25-Gb/s NRZ signals in a WDM-PON is proposed. Experimental results show that the interference between the UWB and wired services are negligible.
