Tunable InP-based Optical IQ Modulator for 160 Gb/s

Abstract

A novel Mach-Zehnder design is adapted to a nested IQ configuration for QPSK operation. High performance DC characteristics over a 40nm optical band and RF bandwidth in excess of 40GHz are observed.
