Abstract

Space-Division Multiplexing for long distance transmission over multi-mode fibers requires mode-multiplexers with high mode selectivity and capable of exciting all fiber modes in a controlled way. We present an architecture for mode-multiplexers and its experimental demonstration for a three mode fiber.
