Abstract

It is necessary for metro networks to become more energy-saving and efficient for traffic from access networks. We propose an Optical Layer-2 switch network based on WDM/TDM rings, achieve the dynamic bandwidth allocation and ADD/DROP with no buffer/header by changing wavelength in nsec according to allocated timeslots.
