Abstract

We experimentally show 1.8-dB improvement of the tolerance to intra-channel non-linearity of coherent PM-16QAM signal using digital-delay detection over highly-dispersed links (Ex. SSMFs and long NZDSFs). The use of CD pre-distortion is also proposed to compensate its performance drop in low dispersion links.
