Over 60km Transmission Extended Reach 10G-EPON System with a Wide 29dB Dynamic Range Burst-mode Receiver

Abstract

We investigated the extended 10G-EPON system which has wide coverage area over 20km transmission. Due to wide 29dB dynamic range and low dispersion penalty of 10.3G optical transceiver, we realized the extended 10G-EPON system which has the wide transmission area over 60km from OLT.
