Abstract

The capability to deliver different types of signals and the need for high capacity will drive the Home Network evolution. We propose two multiformat architectures: a first one is based on an active star, while a longer term solution uses WDM technology on a passive star. Silica fibre is preferred as it provides a future proof solution.
