Respiratory Sensor Based on Macrobending Fiber With Side Disturbances

Abstract

The concept for highly sensitive respiratory measurement using a fiber optic sensor is presented. It is based on macrobending fiber with disturbances in the form of cavities. The theoretical principles and experimental results are discussed.
