Mass-transported off-axis refractive GaP microlenses for use in a distortionless optical interconnect system

Abstract

An array of aspheric off-axis GaP microlenses fabricated by mass-transport smoothing has been used to eliminate distortion in an optical interconnection system employing a single macroscopic relay lens. System design and experimental results are presented.
