Fabrication of diffractive optics by sub-wavelength structuring

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Subwavelength structuring of materials can be used to create variable refractive indices for diffractive optical devices. Several techniques, such as electron beam lithography and replication processes, can be used to create appropriately small structures in optical materials.
