Femtosecond pulse source with grating-waveguide structure

Abstract

We present a femtosecond pulse source based on a grating-waveguide structure and a semiconductor laser. The pulse width is smaller than 450 fs at a repetition rate of 10 GHz near the wavelength of 1.5 µm.
