Retinal Projection-based Near-eye Display with Polarization Grating for an Extended Eyebox

Abstract

We propose a novel method to switch viewpoints for retinal projection near-eye display. Without mechanical steering, the fast shift of the viewpoint position can be realized by using a polarization-dependent grating device and a polarization controller.
