Abstract
This paper discusses on the influence of the noise statistics from the point of view of the performances of de-noising algorithms in digital holographic interferometry. Particularly we focus on Gaussian and speckle noise statistics. Comparisons are based when considering 32 de- noising algorithms and the global rms phase error obtained after processing. The paper demonstrates that Gaussian statistics are not the accurate model for describing noise in digital holographic interferometry.
