Abstract

Holographic display has limited reconstruction quality, we usually cannot see the full reconstructed hologram due to the characteristics of phase modulation and amplitude modulation holograms. There are some methods for hologram reconstruction that can solve this problem. Two-window phase (or amplitude)-grating interferometry using a single spatial light modulator is a well-known method of complex hologram display. We propose a new method for optimal full-complex hologram display. By re-designing window placement, using a circular phase grating and SLM, we have achieved an optimally reconstructed full-complex hologram in both simulation and optical experiment.
