Abstract

This paper introduces the use of depth-fused 3D (DFD) method to improve the speed of the layer-based method, which we developed for 3D hologram calculation. It can provide smooth accommodation cue and reduce the necessary number of layers in use. Tiling method, which trades the image feature fineness with calculation load, and the better coding implementation are also used to accelerate the calculation.
