Experimental validation of Fourier Interferometric Imaging (FII): a new simple and powerful model to measure cloud of droplets

Abstract

Experimental validation of the FII approach on a line of monodispersed droplets is presented. Good agreement between both the numerical and experimental behavior is obtained. The droplet location is measured with an accuracy better than 1 µm for a droplet distance as large as 1.2 mm.
