Cell dynamics studied by quantitative phase imaging

Abstract

We examine intracellular traffic using spatial light interference microscopy (SLIM). The dispersion relation, i.e. decay rate vs. spatial mode, reveals that the mass transport is diffusive at short scales and deterministic at long scales.
