Abstract

The Casimir force between slabs of hyperbolic metamaterial (HMM) is investigated, and the attractive force between two electric HMM slabs can be controlled by tuning the dispersion bandwith. By utilizing the extremely anisotropic behavior of HMMs, the repulsive Casimir force and multiequilibrium are formed between electric and magnetic HMM slabs. © 2019 The Author(s)
