Coherent Communication in Optical Free-Space and Fiber Networks

Abstract

This paper will address coherent optical detection in the context of free-space optical networks in the presence of atmospheric turbulence and multi-user interference. We will also discuss how many of these techniques can be applied to fiber networks.
