Speckle based Extended Depth-of-Field for Macroscopic Imaging: First results

Abstract

Optical imagers experience a fundamental trade-off between spatial resolution and depth-of-field (DoF). This work discusses the possibility of speckle projection to achieve super-resolution within a large DoF. Preliminary results for planar objects are presented.
