Abstract

Optical imaging systems are constrained in spatial dimensions by both physical and practical issues. In this talk, we review some possible architectures that may allow future construction of extremely large, small, flat, narrow, and conformal imaging systems. In addition, the supporting technologies of laser engineering, lens design, and self-assembly will be explored.
