Abstract

We have incorporated a structured illumination approach inspired by Hilo [1] into the Transport of Intensity Equation (TIE) phase retrieval method. A grid-patterned illumination greatly reduces noise artifacts in the low frequency response while high frequency features are obtained from the uniformly illuminated image.
