An angular velocity sensor using machine learning and optical orbital angular momentum

Abstract

We demonstrate a means for measuring the angular velocity of small particles using light with orbital angular momenhrm and a machine learning signal processing toolbox. This approach is applicable to studying turbulence at small scales.
